And this one inspires me…

To be more balanced in my outlook, especially concerning other people. Here’s my screenshot:

I very regularly look to others for validation; I realise this failing in myself and seek to overcome it through quotes like this. The plan is that they remind me, “seeking approval from others isn’t always the wisest course of action to take”.

And did you noticed how the majority of these screenshot had a dark or black background?

It’s because I work (writing, planning etc) late at night and a super-bright screen wakes up Hubby! Clever, huh?

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this break from an insane blogging month, and bring on #blogJune!

And have a great week, dear Reader!

On choosing AND friendships!

Hmmm. I believe that there may be a common theme to these posts; one which I hadn’t noticed when I was creating the screenshots for my lock screen images!

Today’s  post is of a quote I hung on to for a while. I hope it inspires you as much as it did me 🙂

And have a great week, dear Reader!

Best friends…

So it’s May and, like last week, I’m changing the tone of this blog for the month. Making it pictorial because it’s only four short weeks squeezed in between April’s #AtoZchallenge and #blogJune.

Last week’s Lock Screen shot I shared with you was about choices: today’s is friendships.

Enjoy!

And have a great week, dear Reader!

Choose well today :)

So it’s the first Monday of May. April’s #AtoZchallenge is behind me; #blogJune is looming. This month, the in-between month, is one where I’m thinking that I might just slow down; change the tempo a bit. Take it easier, and set this blog to ‘cruise’ mode.

Make it pictorial even!

To that end, I’ve decided to post some screenshots which I have used as Lock Screen images recently. Phrases which spoke to me, or images which delighted me.

Today’s was stolen from a friend on Facebook. She has started her own business, and is busy inspiring me with how productive and how successful she is. And she posted this image, and I loved it, so I’ve stolen it and want to share it with you here.

Enjoy!

And have a great week, dear Reader!

#AtoZchallenge Day 26 – my most fun ‘Z’ tongue-twister

And we made it! All 26 letters of the alphabet tongue-twisted! Because this here is the last one…

Zealous zithers slither zestfully to the zenith.

Again, it was my own ‘take’ on other similar tongue-twisters out there. I hope you like it?

And now that this month’s craziness of blogging almost daily is over with, I’m planning on returning to my regular scheduled program of every Monday morning, 9am my time… at least, until the #blogJune craziness starts up in earnest!

Have a great week, dear Reader!

#AtoZchallenge Day 25 – my most fun ‘Y’ tongue-twister

Almost there! These last few have seemed harder than the first several though. I wonder if that’s to do with my creativity running stale, or now I’m back at work I’m more time-poor? Anyway, here ’tis:

Local yokel yodels youthful jokes

It’s a bit of a spin on other ‘y’ tongue-twisters out there, but I’d like to think I added some uniqueness to it…

And have a great day, dear Reader!

#AtoZchallenge Day 24 – my most fun ‘X’ tongue-twister

So this is one of my own…

Guess quick! Who wrecked Trixie’s esky?

Yes, so there weren’t as any ‘x’s in there as I’d have liked, but I was aiming for a play on the ‘x’ sound, mixed with the ‘ess’, ‘eck’, ‘ick’ and ‘esk’. Not sure I’ve pulled it off, but I’m not unhappy with it…

And have a great day, dear Reader!

#AtoZchallenge Day 23 – my most fun ‘W’ tongue-twister

I found several variations on my favourite tongue-twister here, but the one I deem the ‘most fun’ would have to be…

I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch.

Courtesy Sweetrhymes (they’re a pretty good resource, when you look into it!)

And tune in tomorrow for ‘x’!

Have a great day, dear Reader 🙂

#AtoZchallenge Day 22 – my most fun ‘V’ tongue-twister

What do you think of this one? Courtesy Sweetrhymes 🙂

Valuable valley villas.

Short, but sweet, don’t you think? Just like their website posited they would be 🙂

And have a great day, dear Reader 🙂

#AtoZchallenge Day 21 – my most fun ‘U’ tongue-twister

I’m studying ‘Poetry’ with my Year 8 English class at the moment; and all things alliteration and assonance were on the menu last week. So I shared with them the tongue-twister:

Unique New York

which uses the ‘u’ vowel sound (and also the ‘n’ consonant) but the tongue-twister I want to post as *my* ‘most fun ‘U’ example’ uses both the ‘u’ vowel sound and ‘st’, ‘sh’ and ‘ch’ as well:

If Stu chews shoes, should Stu choose the shoes he chews?

More complex = more fun, don’t you think? Tongue-twister courtesy pun.me again 🙂

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it, and have a great day, dear Reader!
